COMING HOME FROM HOME (2017)

COMING HOME FROM HOME (2017)

What does it mean to come back home from home?
How do we move between two homes and countries?
What shifts in our perspective and how much does imagination contribute to the way we think about both our homes?
How can we work with the distance that separates us from our first home (the ’homeland’) and our second one (the ’foreign’)?
What is eventually foreign and what not?

Through constructed game structures, spectators/performers of this interactive experiment explore issues related to memory, nationality, migration and the tensions that exist therein. The performance was created in the frame of the maker’s research on social imaginaries.

Coming Home from Home was commissioned by CliqueArt.
